How to pick up a signal on Iphone 3g with T-mobile service?

Question by Marcus: How to pick up a signal on Iphone 3g with T-mobile service?
I have an unlocked Iphone 3g with firmware 3.0.1. When I place the T-mobile simcard it searches for a signal until it ultimately says “No service”. What do I need to make it work with T-mobile? Are there certain requirements or settings that I need to make it work? Please advise.

I would call T-Mobile and ask. They would most likely give you a more satisfactory answer.

WORLD’S FIRST Verizon iPhone 4 Unboxing

TheRecoveringBanker.com | Nic Coventry | The Recovering Banker This is the WORLD’S FIRST Verizon iPhone 4 Unboxing, and I will be doing this today, and there will be a follow up video for instructions on how to switch from the AT&T iPhone’s over to Verizon iPhone’s. These instructions will include Contact Backup & Transer, Activation, Music Backup, Etc. This will be in a separate video, titled: Verizon iPhone 4 Setup & Activation Guide. Verizon iPhone has been one of the biggest rumors, and most talked about things to happen for a long time, actually since the very beginning back in 2007 when Apple introduced the first generation iPhone with the Edge Network. I purchased my first iPhone back in late 2008 from the Apple Store, and it was a Apple iPhone 3G, now the funny thing about me buying an iPhone was simply because I wanted to be able to have my calendar and contact in sync with my computers at all times, wireless, and the reason why was I had a team of people working for me, but they were in a different state, and they would schedule appointments for me through out the day, and I was also scheduling appointments through out the day, and so the calendars and contacts had to be synced constantly. Well, the solution was the MobileMe program that Apple came out with, but it only worked for Apple iPhone devices, not blackerrys or anything. I had bought my first Apple Computer about 3 months before that, which was just a simple MacBook, which I still use everyday, and I

Which cell phone service provider/company have you had the best experience with?

Question by : Which cell phone service provider/company have you had the best experience with?
My contract has finally ended with T-Mobile and I desperately want to switch providers, so I’m looking to hear positive and negative experiences with different providers to help me see which providers have good ratings from the people here at Y! Answers, not just the big review companies.
I realize coverage varies by region, so it’s best to focus on customer service issues you’ve run into or praise you’d like to give.

So I’d like to know…
What provider are you currently using? For how long?
Why did you choose them?
Have you had a good experience with them so far?
Have you had any difficulties with them?
Is there a company you’ve been with in the past that you liked better than your current provider and would like to switch to?

Answer by JayStatic
Currently Using: Verizon Wireless

Why did I choose them? Good phones and reliable service

Experiences ? Good so far customer service is very friendly , verizon is expensive but for me it’s worth it

Difficulties? None so far

AT&T is not bad either but tot depends on the area you live in. I would never switch to sprint or t mobile

Good luck

Do You Dislike Foreign Customer Care Reps?

Question by Russell Sheppard: Do You Dislike Foreign Customer Care Reps?
I called by Sprint again today to fix something on my bill. And again I spoke with an Indian rep. I don’t like the idea of American jobs being outsourced, but it is even worse when you get horrible service because of it. I have nothing against foreign people, it is just how can they truly understand me and my problem? We live in different places. And in the case of Sprint, these people don’t have Sprint service in their country. So there is no way they have the real world knowledge to understand my problem. It is not just Sprint, it seems like every company is going this way. In the case of Sprint though, their Foreign reps have caused Sprint to receive the lowest Customer Care ratings out of the other national carriers. T-Mobile and Verizon which have the highest, and they employ American workers. So are you sick of speaking with foreign reps? Do they ever really correct your problem? Plus it is also funny when they have names like Bob and Kelly, when you know they don’t.

Best answer:

Answer by Robbie
Am I sick of speaking to foreign reps? Yes.

Solution? Grab an old war vet holding up a sign on the corner, verify that he can read and speak english, give him a job. Afterall, do they really “know” anything other than how to read a script?
